چکیده

A water environment can impact many physiological processes of aquatic animals. The antioxidant response immune system the pearl oyster to temperature and salinity is great significance health. This study analyzed changes responses under different levels (temperature: 20, 25, 30 °C; salinity: 23, 28, 33‰) in short term (7 d) hepatopancreas other tissues 405 oysters. combined effects on antioxidants were evaluated via surface methodology Box–Benhnken design (BBD) laboratory conditions. secondary activities glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD) significant, CAT SOD showed an inverted U-shaped trend with increase salinity. Temperature significantly impacted GSH-PX, CAT, (GSH), primary effects, maximum values GSH, observed. phenoloxidase (POX) alkaline phosphatase (AKP) increased increasing temperatures. interaction was significant SOD, but not GSH-PX. between AKP which contrary results hemolymph. expression genes varied tissues, same tissue different. Appropriate immunity index models established optimal combination 24.95 °C 28.11‰, respectively, desirability 0.803. provides theoretical reference points for respond be used establish model shellfish aquaculture.

Seawater Acidification and Elevated Temperature Affect Gene Expression Patterns of the Pearl Oyster Pinctada fucata

Oceanic uptake of anthropogenic carbon dioxide results in decrease in seawater pH and increase in temperature. In this study, we demonstrated the synergistic effects of elevated seawater temperature and declined seawater pH on gene expression patterns of aspein, calmodulin, nacrein, she-7-F10 and hsp70 in the pearl oyster Pinctada fucata. Under 'business-as-usual' scenarios, four treatments wer...

Transcriptome and biomineralization responses of the pearl oyster Pinctada fucata to elevated CO2 and temperature.

Ocean acidification and global warming have been shown to significantly affect the physiological performances of marine calcifiers; however, the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. In this study, the transcriptome and biomineralization responses of Pinctada fucata to elevated CO2 (pH 7.8 and pH 7.5) and temperature (25 °C and 31 °C) are investigated. Increases in CO2 and temperature...

Gonadal changes and serum steriod levels during the annual reproductive cycle of the pearl oyster Pinctada fucata gould

The annual reproductive cycle of peal oyster Pinctada fucata was characteised by documenting gonadal development and changes in serum levels of estradiol-17b (E2), testosterone (T) and progesterone (P) in the wild bivalve caught in natural beds in the Persian Gulf throughout the year. Bivalve populations employed in this study spawn in June-July and November-December. The pearl oysters had grou...
